GO Fund Recipients
Team OARS & Team TORUS
Liam Allen (Class of 2026, Team OARS), Kush Patel (Class of 2026, Team OARS), Julian Cooper (Class of 2026, Team TORUS), and Ben Greenberg (Class of 2026, Team TORUS) used their GO Fund contribution to launch their own Etsy shop called Fabracadabracate last summer. Read these entrepreneurs' story below:
"We used the GO fund to commission TerrapinWorks to 3D print some Narrative Dice (used for specific role-playing games). This product was decided on because of a tip by my brother, who plays a lot of these kinds of games. He had mentioned to me that there was no way to purchase narrative dice cheaply, so we decided to take a stab at it. We sold almost all our inventory and broke even by the time the school year started, but then classes started up and we had to shut down to keep up with academics. We potentially have plans to start up again, but we would prefer to find a product that we're more passionate about."

Roman Kassaraba
Class of 2024, Team UNITED
With the help of the GO Fund, Roman was able to travel to Atlanta, GA to attend the 2023 American Public Health Association (APHA) Annual Meeting and Expo. Read Roman's testimony below:
"It was truly a privilege to be surrounded by 13,000+ attendees from all over the United States and world in one of the most important cities for public health.
I had the opportunity to learn from ground-breaking and phenomenal epidemiologists through various panels and speed-mentoring events. Likewise, I expanded my understanding of how epidemiology permeates into all disciplines of research through inspiring roundtable discussions and seminars. Nonetheless, I was given the chance to delve deeper into subjects like maternal health from documentary screenings and justice through health from invigorating discussions about Palestine.
Most importantly, I had a blast making new friends and connections! Getting to explore the Georgia Aquarium, the National Center for Civil and Human Rights, and downtown Atlanta was beyond exhilarating! It was also great to reconnect with my friends from APHA and the Alliance for Disease Prevention & Response. I would like to thank the School of Public Health and the Gemstone Alumni Board for making this opportunity possible."
