Jannelle Dang

Jannelle is a Master's student studying student affairs within the Department of Counseling, Higher Education, and Special Education at University of Maryland. Prior to coming to Maryland, she earned a B.A. in Cognitive Science and Education Studies minor at University of California, Los Angeles and worked in research administration for two years. Her passion for improving equity and educational opportunities for students of color in higher education led her to pursue student affairs at UMD. After graduating from the Master's program, Jannelle hopes to continue working in student engagement and leadership at a college or university.

Jannelle is from the San Gabriel Valley in southern California. Her parents, sister, and dog JJ live there currently. In her free time, Jannelle enjoys trying new foods and exploring the DMV, exercising, and spending quality time with friends and family.
