Conquering College is being planned the by the Gemstone Student Council and will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2009 in the Cambridge Community Center. This event is a new twist on the “Game of Life” event, giving students the chance to learn from their upper-class peers!

This program offers both current and prospective Gemstone students a unique educational experience, utilizing select representatives from the Gemstone student community. Throughout the day, students will have the opportunity to communicate with the upperclass students, asking questions on how to capitalize on and communicate the Gemstone experience in interviews and jobs, how to apply for internships and co-ops, and how to make the most of their college experience.

We believe that there is no one who can answer these types of questions better than those Gemstone students who have already been through it and are getting ready to embark on their own careers and life after college.

Contact Caitlin White, Student Activities Coordinator cwhite14@umd.edu or 301.314.7450 for more information.
